I came up through the code

I am a CTO based in Islamabad. I studied computer science at Air University and wrote my first production code in 2017, building e-commerce platforms for a company in Utah, remotely.

For three years I taught at FAST NUCES while doing my master’s there. My thesis put a person in the loop of a GAN-based system that generates training data.

In 2022 I joined IOTA Solutions as a senior engineer on the monitoring platform. I became development manager a year later, deputy CTO in 2025 and CTO in February 2026. The same month I co-founded Arlo and took the enterprise side.

Outside those two jobs I build products of my own: Voxera, a real-time voice agent, and AI Continuum, a knowledge graph of AI engineering that agents query over MCP. I also take freelance and contract work, and some of it is on the Work page.

How I work

How I run a team

I sit on the commercial side too

I architected and built IOTA’s product editions and licensing model. Since February 2026 I have also run IOTA’s pre-sales and sales: customer meetings, demos, upsell and cross-sell, often at the customer’s site.

I teach what I want the team to use

I designed IOTA’s internal programmes on prompting, RAG and agentic AI, and I teach them, usually to rooms of 30 to 40 people. Teaching is how I check that I understand something.

AI
I plan, build and lead AI work, for clients, in startups and across a company.
- FreelanceI architected an AI-assisted SOC console for a security company’s operations team, built its AI triage and reviewed the code; it is in production. I also built a desktop app that transcribes and summarises Telegram channel video.
- StartupAt Noodle Seed I built Spinatomy, a voice AI that qualifies patient leads for spine clinics, and Fineman West, an AI accounts-receivable assistant. I founded Voxera, a real-time voice agent in 60 languages built to reply in under a second (in pilot), and AI Continuum, an AI engineering knowledge graph served over MCP (in beta). At Arlo I run the enterprise side of a paid AI product that has launched.
- CorporateAt IOTA I lead Trace9 AI, which learns baselines, forecasts availability and capacity, and flags anomalies; it is shipping. I run company-wide AI training on prompt engineering, RAG and agentic AI, for internal groups of 30 to 40 and external ones of 40 to 60.

Team building and growth
I have grown teams from a handful of engineers to a whole company’s engineering.
- StartupI was CTO at Creative Log, a US SaaS company, from May 2023 to May 2024, alongside IOTA. I set the technical roadmap and architecture and guided its lead developers.
- CorporateAt IOTA I went from senior engineer to development manager (5 to 7 engineers, one product line), to deputy CTO (20+ engineers across 3 product lines), to CTO with five team leads and sales, finance, HR and admin alongside. I hire and mentor, and I set the code-review standards, CI/CD, onboarding and blame-free root-cause reviews the teams still use.

Product ownership
I own products from the first scope to production, and I answer for them after launch.
- FreelanceFor Balantia I delivered a nutrition app in phases, from the mobile app to the admin portal and its APIs, and agreed each phase’s scope with the client; it is in production. On the SOC console I made the architecture decisions and reviewed the code.
- StartupI founded Voxera and AI Continuum and own them as product owner. At Arlo I own the enterprise edition, Arlo for Teams.
- CorporateI own IOTA’s three product lines, Trace9®, Amygdala XDR® and Thalamus, all in production. I set their roadmaps and plans, and I architected and built the editions and licensing model they are sold under.

Working with customers
I talk to customers myself, from founders to the leadership of national organisations.
- FreelanceI have worked directly with clients in fitness, smart buildings, web hosting, network monitoring, VR health-tech, e-commerce and security, and I wrote their scopes of work, financial models and process maps as well as the software.
- StartupAt Arlo I lead the conversations with enterprise and regulated organisations. At Noodle Seed I worked inside client teams to ship their builds.
- CorporateSince February 2026 I have run IOTA’s pre-sales and sales: engagements, demos, upsell and cross-sell, often on site. I work directly with C-level and senior leaders at telecom operators, government bodies and large enterprises.
